Management Training that sticks with your team

We run small-group workshops and one-to-one coaching for managers across Wales. No slides-and-lecture marathons. Our sessions use your actual workplace scenarios, so participants walk out on Friday already doing things differently on Monday.

How a programme comes together

Every organisation has different friction points. We shape each programme around yours rather than pulling a course off the shelf.

1

Diagnostic call

A 30-minute conversation with your senior team. We ask about recent incidents, staff survey results, and the two or three things keeping you up at night. No charge for this.

2

Programme design

We draft a schedule, pick the right mix of group sessions and individual coaching, and send you a written proposal within five working days.

3

Delivery

Sessions run at your premises or at our South Ortiz training room. Groups stay at eight people maximum so everyone gets airtime. Each session lasts three hours, not a full day, because attention drops off a cliff after lunch.

4

Follow-up check

Six weeks after the final session we reconnect with each participant. We find out what changed, what didn't, and whether a short top-up session would help lock things in.

Training programmes we run

Pick one, combine several, or let us build something from scratch. Prices depend on group size and duration; we quote per programme, not per head.

New manager at desk preparing for a training session

First-time manager foundations

A four-session programme covering delegation, giving feedback that people actually hear, running a useful one-to-one, and handling the awkwardness of managing former peers. Designed for anyone in their first 18 months of a management role.

Two professionals practising a difficult conversation exercise

Difficult conversations masterclass

One intensive session focused entirely on performance conversations, grievance discussions, and delivering bad news. Participants rehearse real scripts with a trained actor, then debrief as a group. This is our most requested standalone workshop.

Senior leader presenting strategy to colleagues in a boardroom

Senior leadership development

For directors and heads of department. Six sessions over three months covering strategic thinking, cross-functional influence, financial literacy for non-finance leaders, and coaching your own managers. Includes two individual coaching hours per participant.

Team collaborating during a team effectiveness workshop

Team effectiveness reset

When a team has gone off the rails, bringing in an outsider helps. We facilitate a structured half-day where the group identifies what is working, what has broken down, and agrees on three concrete changes. Not a trust-fall exercise.

One-to-one coaching session between a coach and a manager

One-to-one coaching

Sold in blocks of six fortnightly sessions. Each session runs 75 minutes. We work on whatever the coachee needs: confidence in decision-making, time management that actually works, preparing for a board presentation, or processing a restructure. Confidential notes stay between coach and coachee.

Custom in-house programmes

If none of the above quite fits, we design something from scratch. Recent examples include a change-management programme for an NHS trust and a hybrid-working leadership course for a Cardiff tech firm. Minimum commitment: two full sessions.

Common questions

Eight is our cap. We have run sessions with ten at a client's request, but the quality of practice time drops noticeably above eight. If you have 16 people to train, we split them into two cohorts and run the programme twice.

Yes. We travel across Wales and into the West of England regularly. For locations more than 90 minutes from South Ortiz we add a small travel charge. We can also run certain sessions over video, though we prefer in-person for anything involving role-play.

Our lead trainer holds a Level 7 ILM Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring and spent 14 years in operational management before moving into training full-time. Associate trainers each have at least five years of line-management experience and a recognised coaching or training qualification.

Our programmes are not accredited by a university or awarding body. Participants receive a certificate of completion, and we provide a written summary of competencies covered that HR teams can file for CPD records. If formal accreditation matters to you, we can point you toward partner providers who offer ILM-endorsed routes.

A single three-hour workshop for up to eight people starts at £850 plus VAT. The four-session first-time manager programme sits between £3,000 and £3,800 depending on location and preparation time. One-to-one coaching blocks start at £1,200 for six sessions. We always quote a fixed price before you commit.

Three to four weeks is comfortable. We have turned things around in ten days when a client had an urgent need, but the diagnostic stage works better with a bit of breathing room.
